SOS

It's easy to put up walls and push people away. It's easy to disappear and cease existing to the world for a few hours. It's easy to be a solitary rock jutting into the sea as wave after wave crashes against you.

But all of these things are simply a silent scream for someone to be sincere. They're a plea for someone to care enough to carefully strip away your tough exterior. It's a wish for a lighthouse to reach out and draw you safely in.

Because it's hard to let down defenses when you've been burned so many times you can't really feel anymore. It's hard to love first when you're love has been thrown away before.

But people can't read minds. You can't be healed or helped until you admit you're drowning.

So send up your SOS.
