Colleges
I went on my third college visit this past weekend. Of the three colleges I've visited I'm only applying to two. I'm okay with that, though, because I don't want to be overwhelmed by choices; the two colleges I'm applying to are both brilliant schools to attend and it will be hard enough to choose between the two anyways, I think. At the one I visited most recently, school #2, I felt so comfortable and not under any pressure. I felt like though it's a strong, academic school the emphasis wasn't on getting the high grades (though that's good) but in learning and loving to learn. That's exactly what I need in a school; I don't need a list of things to check off, I don't need extra pressure, I don't need more stress. I have to admit that I really like that school #2 is "back home" near all my closest friends and the majority of my family, plus has weather that I'm used to. It might even be easier to get a scholarship there, too, since I'm a multiple times over legacy, but that's beside the point. I love the school for the school: the students, faculty, and mission.
